The Australian Government Virtual Careers Supe Fair was held on Monday the 21st of March 2022. It was for students looking for internships and/or graduate jobs with employers who are the field of the Australian Government
The fair was live for three hours. During the first 40 minutes, students joined a Panel Session with a panellist of employers top of their field where they find out about the sector and collect some insider tips on how to succeed in their career. For the remaining 2 hours, students watched 18-minute pitches from individual employers about why they should work with them and how to succeed in applying.

Then, listen to the Australian Communications and Media Authority, Australian Electoral Commission, Department of Finance, Department of Defence, Office of National Intelligence, and Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission on their employer presentation.
Join the Data Stream Panel Session to hear the representatives from the Australian Bureau of Statistics, and Services Australia about what it's like to work in this stream and how to land a job. Then, listen to the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA), Australian Bureau of Statistics, Attorney-Generals Department, and Australian Small Business and Family on their employer presentation.
Join the Digital Stream Panel Session to hear the representatives from the Australian Public Service Commission about what it's like to work in this stream and how to land a job. Then, listen to the Australian Digital Health Agency, Australian Public Service Commission, Department of Veterans' Affairs, Civil Aviation Safety Authority, and Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation on their employer presentation.
Join the Economist Stream Panel Session to hear the representatives from the Australian Treasury Department, and Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment about what it's like to work in this stream and how to land a job. Then, listen to the Department of Education, Skills and Employment, Department of Treasury, Department of Social Services, National Disability Insurance Agency, and Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment on their employer presentation.
Join the Human Resource Stream Panel Session to hear the representatives from the Australian Taxation Office about what it's like to work in this stream and how to land a job. Then, listen to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, Australian Taxation Office, Australian Public Service Academy (APS Academy), and Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications on their employer presentation.
Join the STEM Stream panel Session to hear the representatives from the Department of Industry, Science, Energy, and Resources about what it's like to work in this stream and how to land a job. Then, listen to the Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency (ARPANSA), Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, Department of Industry, Science, Energy, and Resources, Geoscience Australia, and Services Australia on their employer presentation.
Join the Indigenous Graduate Pathway Stream Panel Session to hear the representatives from the Australian Signals Directorate, and the Australian Public Service Commission about what it's like to work in this stream and how to land a job. Then, listen to the Australian Signals Directorate, Department of Home Affairs, Productivity Commission, National Indigenous Australians Agency, Department of Health, and Australian Securities and Investment Commission on their employer presentation.
Don’t miss this event! Understanding what employers do is critical to submitting successful applications, so take this event seriously, save it to your calendar and show up.
Make sure to research the employers you're interested in before the event, especially those you haven't heard of before. Make sure you understand what they do and prepare some well thought through questions to ask them!
Review the Streams and decide which one you plan join. You can of course switch between streams, but make sure to join the panel session for the stream you're most interested in.

When the event begins, start by joining your preferred stream. Listen critically to what each recruiter is saying and post your questions in the chat. Either stay in one stream for the whole event or jump between streams.
All sessions will be recorded for the benefit of future students and those who aren't able to attend the career fair. Content may be used by the event host, the employer, or on a Prosple website.
