The Office of National Intelligence (ONI) is an independent government agency with three main functions. We
- advise the Prime Minister and other senior ministers in the National Security Committee of Cabinet on international political, strategic and economic developments;
- provide enterprise-level management of Australia’s intelligence capabilities – including the Joint Capability Fund, coordination and evaluation of national intelligence priorities and allocation of resources in accordance with those priorities, and coordination of the national intelligence community's foreign engagement; and
- in the Open Source Centre, we collect, translate and analyse publicly available information for its intelligence value.
ONI divides into three working areas: Assessments, Enterprise Management and Corporate. We are a growing organisation and regularly looking for staff in all three areas. Our people are most definitely our greatest asset, and we work hard to ensure that we recruit, train, develop and manage our workforce as effectively as possible.
