Salary at The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER)

Good for a graduate role and not needing prior experience other than a degree.

You can get paid more in industry but the work is genuinely rewarding. at DWER and worth the smaller pay packet.

Compensation for graduates at DWER is equivalent to (and in some cases higher than) similar organisations in the private sector.

The pay is very good for early career people. I am able to live independently and comfortably.

When travelling more than 50km from the office on official business, lunch can be paid for by the Department. All travel expenses associated with fieldwork will be covered by the Department.
